Abstract / Description
In a breakout session during the Partners for Advancing Health Equity 2022 Summit, Dr. James presented an overview on the current field of equitable grantmaking in health equity. President and CEO of Grantmakers in Health, Dr. James' company has five areas of focus for their 2023 strategic plan:
- health equity and social justice,
- access and quality,
- population health,
- community engagement and empowerment, and
- philanthropic growth and impact.
Dr. James discussed why these five themes are thought of as the building blocks needed to achieve better health for all through better philanthropy.
