Abstract / Description

Organized by Partners for Advancing Health Equity (P4HE Collaborative), the Violence Prevention Institute at Tulane University, with the support of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Alumni Relations Office, this panel discussion highlighted the issues, policies, and practices around gun violence and the need to broaden the lens for implementing preventative approaches.

In this webinar, speakers:

  • Evaluated the structural and social roots of gun violence and how they relate to health equity.
  • Shared information about the epidemic of gun violence and its link with other forms of violence.
  • Discussed innovative strategies to combat the gun violence epidemic.
