P4HE workshop series: Design thinking for design justice

The Partners for Advancing Health Equity (P4HE) Research Collaborative hosted our fourth workshop series, which focused on design thinking and design justice. 

This three-part workshop series introduced participants to the problem-solving methods of design thinking to work toward justice and discussed how the social, environmental, and political histories of place can inform practices of public health for equity. During the workshop, participants reflected on this question: "How might we work toward the just futures our communities need, within the inequitable reality of the present?"

The three-part series created a space for attendees to:

• Learn about design thinking and design justice. 
• Explore applications of design thinking for design justice in health equity work.
• Practice applying design thinking for design justice in exercises while considering real-world places and people.
